Govern-Map

How has italian political situation evolved since the foundation of the Republic? Which political organisations have
mainly influenced government’s decisions in Italy?

These are the questions that lead to the creation of Govern-map, my tribute to the famous Histo-Map.

The viz shows the composition of italian chamber of deputies by number of seats assigned to each political party, divided by parliamentary term. The result is a representation of birth, evolution and death of the main italian parties, from the first to the 18th parliamentary term, which we entered recently.

Govern-Map is a tool to explore the past and an occasion to compare it with our present.
